$100.00Price
The Brigalow tree can grow up to 25m in height.
The bark is hard and deeply furrowed and almost black in colour. The thick, leathery sickle-shaped leaves grow up to 20cm in length, and are coated with fine, silky-silvery hairs.
With small, round, golden yellow flower heads can range from 5–8mm in diameter and contain 15–35 individual flowers, they bloom from July to October.
The seed pods can be straight or slightly curved, brown in colour and can reach 20cm long. These pods house flat, oblong brown seeds.
The tree acts as a nitrogen-fixer in open-forest and woodland ecosystems.
